I posted on Snoozer Loser before, but it's been more than a year since then and their f/w 2011 scarves are too good to not share. Snoozer Loser is an eco-conscious brand based out of New York using organic cotton, vintage fabrics, and manufacturing all of the pieces locally. The scarves are handpainted with eco-friendly pigments and feature the most delightful patterns--from antique scissors to folksy unicorns. Their quirky without being overdone and come in a variety of colors that will blend seemlessly with your winter wardrobe.

LIFE | Coffee With Cocorosa, hand-me-downs from Dries and Ann

Yesterday I took a long train trip to the cosy city of Arnhem for a lecture and met with the lovely blogger Chantal from CocoRosa afterwards. We had a cappuccino, chatted about blogs and media, about New York and about fabulous shoes. Chantal showed me around her home town and brought me to one of her favorite spots; a fabrics-store with an amazing concept.

It is a project of the Arnhem Academy of Art and Design called 'Trickle Down' which refers to the handing down of left overs from established designers 'dripping down' to the not yet so established. It is basically a store filled with scraps, left over rolls of the most delicate and rare fabrics that come from Dutch and Belgian designers. Pieces of pink and turqoise metallic leather that were fetched from the Dries van Noten ateliers were hanging in the racks, extremely long messing zippers and a lovely, helpful lady from the academy who also used to teach Victor and Rolf among others.

I bought a couple of Riri zippers yesterday. But regretted not getting more of the unique pieces they offer. This morning my boyfriend and I decided to hop on the train and came back with more zippers, a piece of leather that looks like elephant skin and I found an amazing black metal clasp from Ann Demeulemeester. Now it's time to think about what to do with all these fantastic materials.

Some random shots of a visit from lunch meetings, daily things and an appointment at the Diesel office to see the collections. Their new head of design set a different course and her vision resulted in luxurious details, fabrics and cuts.

Really rubbish outfit photos but I thought it may get me back into the swing of doing outfit posts. These were just taking on my simple nikon so when I can get my sister to take using her digital slr lumix camera we should be in business! Not an outfit of the day but one that I wore a couple of weeks ago when it was still dead mild and was way to hot wearing a coat. I love tartan scarfs, my adoration started for them last year, I have this green one, two red tartan scarfs and recently just bought a yellow rupert bear style one which I love!

It was my last day at work yesterday, so glad to be out of that place and have time to focus on everything that I want to but I will miss all my friends there. Tonight I'm going out for christmas drinks/ leaving drinks with them all and I'm trying to decide whether to go vampy (red, dark lips, smudgy simple eye makeup) or 60s bardot make-up (pale pink lips with smokey, feline flick eyes) Give me your 2 cents! Now I just need to get ready to go to a christmas craft fair which is just down the road. What are you all up to this weekend?

Top 10 Fashion Blogger VIDEOS

Today's Top 10 is all about Fashion Blogger Videos! After seeing ton's of youtube vlogs and videos I think that having a good video is as important as having nice shoes!

What I discovered is that my favorite video's consist of the following ingredients; They are short and fast (cut and edit), I want to hear someone speak (even if it's only 3 words) I like to see more settings or camera views, I always like a short scene of the blogger going somewhere!(walking on the street, in the train etc) music please!, closets, clothing and lots of outfits! and the best videos always include laughs and quirks too!

(ps. you might want to watch the videos on youtube, steaming on my blog might be slow...)

1) Susie Style Bubble

The video is a little teaser from Susie's Monki Television episodes (see the full videos here, here, here and here) To me, this little preview is already perfect on its own! it's short, fast, fun and has Susie in it!

2) Style Scrapbook

Andy's YouTube channel is quite a must! I just love to hear her voice and see all the updates from around the world! Couldn't resist sharing her Monki Television Episode as well since it's just beautifully done and I always love to see wardrobes!

Yesterday I was lucky enough to attend the opening of the 13th Louis Vuitton Maison store in Sydney.
After the beautiful Cate Blanchett cut the ribbon, I was free to roam around three floors of Louis Vuitton
heaven. Designed by the Louis Vuitton architects in Paris, the building was absolutely breath taking and
what I found inside was even more spectacular. From jewellery, to leather goods, to womenswear and
accessories, I could have probably explored for days. What is really special about this LV store is it is the
second store to provide made-to-order service for selected leather goods. That means you can get your
own one of a kind LV bag finished with your initials! So whether you're interested in purchasing or you
just wanted to have a look at what the store is like, I suggest you head down because the doors have just
opened to public today.
